Jose Meza's Paraguayan team takes away the undefeated and the lead from the hosts

A great victory was achieved by the Paraguayan team of Sportivo Jose Meza de Ñemby, absolute South American champion on Colombian lands again. He beat the one who was painted as the great favorite to take the scepter after the first rounds and successive triumphs, the host, Pharaones de Pitalito by 5 to 3.

Already in the first stage, with victories by Azcona and Benitez, the Guaraníes began to gain distance on the scoreboard.

But Pitalito's team, encouraged by their fans, already warned that they would sell the defeat dearly by scoring prematurely at the beginning of the second stage. And although the visitors extended the score again, with two shots from goalkeeper Vega and the Venezuelan Gonzalez, they left the duel red hot, tying 3 to 3.

In the final two moments, the gap arrived again, which was already definitive with the conquests achieved by Ramón Mongelos and Cristian Azcona (free route without barrier).

The progression of the scoreboard was this:

First time

Ronaldo Azcona (JM) 0-1

Gustavo Benitez (JM) 0-2

Second period

Jonathan Prada 1-2

July Rhodes 1-3

Oscar Vega 2-3
