The hosts beat the previous intercontinental champion in their debut

The Colombian quintet of Faraones defeated Simón Bolivar (Paraguay) 9 to 4 in the stellar game of the first date of the Intercontinental indoor soccer cup that was completed at the Coliseo Cuierto de Deportes y Espetaculos in Pitalito, Colombia.
