In an event held this afternoon in the Jaime Arroyabe Rendón auditorium of the World Futsal Association (AMFutsal) headquarters in Asunción, Paraguay, the 45th edition of the South American Club Futsal Tournaments was launched.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. José Ortigoza, Paraguayan leader and general secretary of the South American Confederation of Futsal, the oldest entity of this sport in the world, founded in 1965 and currently chaired by Uruguayan Mario Gimenez.

This is how the keys looked:
Serie A: Palermo (Uruguay), 12 de Junio (Paraguay), SAF Talisma (Brazil) and Cotas Juniors (Bolivia).
Series B: San Miguel (Uruguay), Atenas (Paraguay), Deportivo Churros (Chile) and Furia Cruceña (Bolivia)

The event will take place from Tuesday the 28th of this month to Saturday, August 1st at the Luis Oscar Giagni Miers Sports Center of the Sol de América Club, which has already been the scene of several international competitions, including the 2003 World Championship and the 1999 Pan American Games at the senior national team level.

The competition is sponsored by the sports brand Temple, which specializes in balls and apparel. Representative Freddy Gonzalez presented the exclusive and limited series of balls that will only be used in this championship, which the company has launched.

The matches will be played in four rounds, starting at 2:00 PM on the three days of the preliminary stage. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the subsequent semifinals. The winners of the semifinals will compete for the title on Saturday.

Tickets will be affordably priced and the event will have extensive coverage via streaming and audiovisual platforms.
