Brilliant opening of the indoor soccer world cup

Between lights, music, mariachi and a packed stadium, the XIII Indoor Soccer World Cup (AMF World Cup 2023) got underway in the “Magical Town” of Tecate.
The inauguration of this international sporting event took place this Tuesday night in the Municipal Gymnasium of Tecate, which was packed with fans and where the protocol act was carried out as merited in the case, paying honors to the Enseña Patria de Mexico by members of the Mexican army.
An explosion of lights, dance, mariachi, singing and very Mexican traditions framed this spectacular opening day, where the main course was the Mexican national team match.
Great personalities gathered for this spectacular opening ceremony, headed by the mayor of Tecate, Darío Benítez; Carlos King Ristori, director of High Level Competition at the Institute of Sports and Physical Culture of Baja California.
Also present were Rolando Alarcón, president of the World Indoor Soccer Association, deputy Ramón Vázquez, who made the inaugural declaration, Jorge Lizardi, president of the Mexican Federation of this sport, and Rodrigo Ramírez, from the Municipal Sports Institute of Tecate, among others.
Previously, the first matches took place, the United States beat Australia 5-4 in group “B”, while Canada easily beat Bolivia 9-2 in “A” and finally Mexico lost to Uruguay 4- 0 also for series A.
