In the event hall of the Jacaranda Sports Residence of the Paraguayan Futsal Federation, the traditional and emotional flag-raising ceremony of the Paraguayan C15 Futsal team took place, who will host the world championship of that category from September 7 to 14, 2026.
The national flag was received by team captain Emerson Pérez, it was handed to him by the president of the World Association and the president of the Paraguayan Futsal Federation Rolando Alarcón and Juan Gamarra.
The Paraguayan futsal team, coached by Professor Juan Alcaraz, will be traveling this Thursday at 5 a.m. to Carmen del Paraná, the main venue for the World Cup.
We remind you that this highly anticipated ecumenical event brings together a total of 12 teams, divided into 3 series, with Carmen del Parana being the epicenter of the competition and Coronel Bogado the sub-venue.
Group A consists of: Paraguay, Mexico, Canada and Chile; Group B: Colombia, Uruguay, Australia and Argentina; and Group C: Brazil, Catalonia, the United States and Bolivia.
Regarding Paraguay's debut, it will take place this Monday, September 7th, against the Canadian team, and in the other match, Mexico and Chile will face off.
The initial round of Group B will feature Colombia against Australia and Uruguay against Argentina, while in Group C, Brazil will face the USA and Catalonia will face Bolivia.
