The Catalan Futsal Federation (FCFS), founded in 1983, which is the entity in charge of organizing traditional Futsal or indoor football in Catalonia, is preparing the 2024 edition of the C20 division world championship, which will be held in the city of Balaguer, 150 kilometers from the capital of Catalonia, Barcelona.
The FCFS was internationally recognised in 2001 by the European Futsal Union (UEFS) at European level and subsequently by the World Futsal Association.
The great ecumenical event will take place between 18 and 24 November and the different participating nations are already starting to speed up their preparations. It will be the second time that Balaguer will host a world competition, having already done so at the women's level in 2007.
The C20 World Championship is one of several major ecumenical competitions promoted by the AMF, along with the absolute world championships for seniors in the men's and women's categories, as well as the base divisions, C13, C15 and C17, in addition to the aforementioned C20.
