In the first final, the Colombian team took the lead in the first half thanks to Maickol García at 13 minutes. Jaime Frogosso tied the score at 11 minutes of the second half. But then the champions again broke the deadlock through Jarlison Misas at 16 minutes and the last goal came at the hour, converted by Juan Giraldo.
The Guaranis were more forceful against the best representative of Europe, who could do nothing to avoid the 0-4 defeat, made concrete thanks to the goals scored by Alan Ovelar, Oscar Osorio, José Conteiro and Lucas Morlas.
IN 2016 COLOMBIA WON 5 TO 3

The duel for the title, which was held at the Municipal Stadium in the city of Encarnación, capital of the Paraguayan department of Itapua, bordering Argentina, was won by Colombia against the local team by 5 to 3 on July 19, 2016. The first stage had ended in a 3-3 draw. The hosts were favored by the draw, but were unable to take advantage of that advantage.
Today, the rules state that in the event of a tie, a ten-minute overtime period must be played (divided into two periods of five minutes each)... And if the tie persists, the decision will be made by penalties.
