The Paraguayan Indoor Soccer Federation held an election for new officials. The only candidate who stood, Dr. Juan Gamarra, who served as Vice President of the Executive Committee, was anointed as the new leader, taking over the role and setting a very high standard set by Dr. Rolando Juan Alarcón Rios after a record-breaking 39-year tenure, during which Paraguay's most successful team sport won six world titles at the national team level (four for seniors and two for youth teams in the C20 and C13 categories), as well as dozens of international titles for national teams and clubs.
During his tenure, Alarcón carried out major projects such as the acquisition and construction of the modern FPFS home, making this sport one of the few with its own headquarters.
Dr. Alarcon will continue working for indoor soccer, now in his new role as vice president of the board chaired by Dr. Gamarra, which plans the immediate implementation of a cooperative and the construction of a new stadium, with the necessary buildings already in place.
