The last date of the first stage of the AMF C17 World Cup, which will be held in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, was finalized this Wednesday, and the teams that qualified for the Quarterfinals of the Competition were defined. The teams that qualified were: Catalonia, Colombia, Paraguay, Mexico, Brazil, Bolivia, Uruguay and Ecuador.
The six matches were played at the Alto Paraná Governor's Stadium, with a festive and youthful atmosphere.
The opening round was opened by the teams from Catalonia and France, where the Catalans managed to beat the French by a score of 11-0, and thus qualify as leaders of Group A.
Mexico then beat Uruguay 4-1 to take second place in Group A, while Uruguay qualified for the Quarterfinals as the best third-place team.
In Group B, Brazil defeated Canada 6-4 to clinch second place. In the next match, Colombia outclassed Chile 7-0 to go to the Quarterfinals with a perfect score.
In Group C, Bolivia defeated India 21-0 to secure their qualification. To close out the day, Paraguay beat Ecuador 8-1, securing first place in their group with a perfect score.
