The Paraguayan Indoor Soccer Federation, now chaired by Dr. Juan Gamarra, has begun preparing to defend its first U13 World Cup title, which it won in Reus, Catalonia, in 2019, undefeated after a tremendous campaign of pure goal-scoring.
The world event will be held in Caucaia, Ceará, a municipality near the capital, Fortaleza, from September 1 to 7, an area with a long tradition of salons in Brazil.
The presentation of the process and initial activities were led by the technical team headed by Professor Andrés "Paté" Bogado, and the event was presided over by the aforementioned new head of the FPFS.
In 2019, Paraguay won its first title by a landslide, defeating Switzerland 22-0 in the preliminary round, Colombia 9-1, and Great Britain 17-3. In the quarterfinals, they defeated Australia 12-1; in the semifinals, Colombia 11-0; and Brazil 7-2 in the final, held at the Olympic Pavilion in Reus on November 3, 2019.
