The World Futsal Association has awarded the hosting rights for two upcoming men's world championships. Paraguay will host the youth championship this year, and Colombia will host the senior championship in 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next major international tournament for national teams will be the C15 level tournament, whose second edition is already confirmed for September 7-14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This will be the first event of the year with twelve participating finalist teams, with only the host city remaining to be defined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The women's world championship, scheduled for December 1-6, will follow in Mexico, also featuring twelve teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Colombia has already been confirmed as the host of the top men's adult competition in 2027, with the date and location to be determined soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The requirement for participation in the events is to be up-to-date with the annual membership fee, which amounts to one thousand US dollars. The registration fee for each competition is 500 US dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Internal transportation will be provided by the host from arrival to departure. Accommodation will be the responsibility of each participating delegation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
FPFS WILL DEFINE THE VENUE
The exact venue for the C15 World Cup, which Paraguay was entrusted with organizing this year, will be defined by the Paraguayan Futsal Federation in the coming days. It could be a single venue or played with sub-venues, as happened the last time the country hosted an event of this magnitude in 2024, when it hosted the second edition of the C17 World Cup in May, which was won by the Colombian team, beating the home team 6-4 in extra time, after a 3-3 draw in normal time.
Paraguay is the country that has hosted the most world championships in youth divisions, after having hosted the first event (the only one to date at the adult level, which it won in 2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It also hosted the first C15 edition in the Alto Paran\u00e1 department, at the Municipal Coliseum of Ciudad Presidente Franco, in July 2021, a tournament that had the Brazilian team as champion, Colombia as runner-up and the local Albirrojos completing the podium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The last world event of this sport took place last year when the second C 13 Division World Championship was held in Cear\u00e1, Brazil, in September, with the home team being the undefeated winner and Paraguay finishing as runner-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
