For the first time in the history of global indoor soccer, with which Uruguay has been fully identified since its origins, a team from the land where this beautiful sport was born has achieved the highest award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The creator of this feat is Albion, from the small town of Pan de Azucar, in the department of Maldonado, known above all for having one of the biggest tourist attractions due to the beauty of its beaches and its iconic epicenter, Punta del Este.
Albion, who had previously won the title of champion of the southern zone of South America in March of this year, extended their dominance to orbital, winning undefeated the title in the tournament held at the beautiful and modern Coliseo Mayor in Ibagu\u00e9, Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite having four of the sixteen participating teams, the locals only managed to achieve a runner-up position with Alcaldia de Dos Quebradas and a third place with Caciques del Quindio, while the country with the most titles won in this event, Paraguay, was relegated this time to fourth place with its representative Kyrios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 16th edition of the intercontinental indoor soccer club competition featured 16 teams, divided into four series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
